General questions
How can I book my quad or buggy tour?
You can book directly on Bookeo, message us on WhatsApp, or send us an email. We’ll confirm availability and send you the meeting point.
Where do the tours depart from?
All tours depart from Las Lagunas de Mijas (Malaga), just 20 minutes from the city and close to Fuengirola, Benalmadena, Torremolinos and Marbella. We’ll send the exact location after booking.
What do I need to drive?
You must be over 18 and hold a valid category B driving licence. No previous experience is needed, we give a safety and handling briefing before setting off.
Can children come along as passengers?
Yes, always with an adult driver: from 6-7 years old on the quad and from 4 years old on the buggy.
What’s included in the price?
The vehicle, the guide, the safety briefing, and a helmet (quad) or goggles (buggy). It’s always a guided tour, not a self-drive rental.
Is it a free rental or a guided tour?
It’s a guided tour: we ride as a group following the guide through the Sierra de Mijas. The vehicles aren’t rented out for free use.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing and closed shoes. As it’s an off-road route there may be dust or mud depending on the season.
Do you stop along the route?
Yes, depending on the tour and the day’s conditions we stop at natural viewpoints overlooking the Costa del Sol.
What happens if I’m late?
We recommend arriving early. If you’re late the tour may be shortened to keep to the group’s schedule, or you could miss the departure with no refund.
What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?
If conditions don’t allow the route to be done safely, we’ll offer you a new date or an equivalent alternative.
Can I race, drift or go at full speed?
No. This is a tour to enjoy the surroundings safely, at a guided pace with limited speed.
How far in advance should I book?
The sooner the better, especially on weekends, holidays and high season, as spaces are limited.
About the Quad tours
What kind of quad do you use?
Two-seater, automatic quads, designed so you can enjoy the ride from the first minute with no previous experience.
From what age can children ride the quad?
Passengers can join from 6-7 years old, always with an adult in control of the vehicle.
How much does the quad tour cost?
From 80 euros/vehicle for the 1-hour route, 120 euros for 2 hours and 165 euros for 3 hours (price per vehicle, up to 2 seats).
What’s the difference between the 1, 2 and 3-hour routes?
The 1-hour route is perfect for a first taste; the 2-hour route adds more variety of trails; and the 3-hour route climbs to the highest parts of the Sierra de Mijas with the best views over the Mediterranean.
Is the quad better than the buggy?
The quad gives a more agile, direct and active ride, ideal if you want more of an adventure feel. If you prefer more stability and comfort, the buggy is the better choice, you can compare both on our buggies page.
About the Buggy tours
What buggy do you use?
800cc, two-seater buggies with automatic gearbox, ideal if you want more power and stability without needing previous experience.
From what age can children ride the buggy?
Passengers can join from 4 years old, always with an adult in control of the vehicle.
How much does the buggy tour cost?
From 100 euros/vehicle for the 1-hour route, 145 euros for 2 hours and 185 euros for 3 hours (price per vehicle, up to 2 seats).
Do I need a special licence to drive the buggy?
No, a category B driving licence and being over 18 is enough, same as for the quad.
Quad or buggy, which one should I choose?
The buggy if you want more stability, power and a 4×4 feel; the quad if you prefer a more agile, lighter ride. Both are guided and suitable with no previous experience.
Where do I pick up the buggy?
The starting point is in Las Lagunas de Mijas, very close to Fuengirola and Benalmadena.
